Dipkar in Ho Chi Minh City - On the afternoon of 5 November 2016, DIPKAR members gave 163 blankets to sick children and their families in Pediatrics Hospital 2, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Some of the sick children and their caretakers had to spend their nights on the cold lobbies with little to cover, because the hospital was overcrowded on these days.
Members of the group handed out these blankets along with DIPKAR’s message of love and compassion to sick children and their families in pediatric wards such as neurology, nephrology, tumor - hematology, burn, infection control, etc.
DIPKAR’s program entitled “Blankets of Love for a Warm Winter” received great support from nurses and other medical staffs as well as families of sick children. With their assistance, those blankets were given to have-nots at the soonest.
163 blankets were in wait to be handed out.
